Woodstock City Council has approved a construction contract and additional funding for renovations to the fourth floor of the Woodstock Art Gallery, creating a new flexible space for arts programming, community events, and rentals. Construction is set to begin in July and run until April of 2027.

Woodstock City Council has approved a construction contract for renovations to the fourth floor of the Woodstock Art Gallery, along with an additional $102,000 in funding for the project.

The upgrades will convert the space into a flexible, multi-purpose area to support expanded arts programming, community events, workshops, and rental opportunities. City officials say the redesign will make the gallery more adaptable for year-round community use.

The project is supported by multiple funding sources, including $235,000 from the city’s capital budget, a $941,000 federal grant through the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program, and more than $166,000 raised through local fundraising.

Construction is expected to begin in July and continue through April 2027. The gallery will provide updates throughout the project via its website, newsletter, and social media channels.
