Four Woodstock men are facing drug trafficking charges after a police raid under Project Delorean. Police seized cocaine, cash, other drugs, ammunition, and an armoured vest, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police in Woodstock have laid multiple drug trafficking charges following the execution of a search warrant tied to an ongoing investigation known as Project Delorean.
According to the Woodstock Police Service, officers from the Street Crime Unit, assisted by the Emergency Response Unit and uniform patrol, carried out a warrant in the Bay Street area. The operation was conducted under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as part of a broader effort to target drug trafficking activity in the city.
Four Woodstock men — two aged 28, along with a 27-year-old and a 38-year-old — were arrested and jointly charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
One of the 28-year-old men faces an additional charge of trafficking cocaine.
Police say the search resulted in the seizure of cocaine with an estimated street value of $94,000, along with $22,575 in cash. Officers also recovered a quantity of other narcotics, a significant amount of handgun and shotgun ammunition, and an armoured vest.
All four accused were held in custody pending bail hearings.
Investigators say the case remains ongoing and additional updates will be released as new information becomes available.
