Woodstock Police arrest two in drug trafficking investigation

Two Woodstock residents are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Woodstock Police Service Street Crime Unit.

Two Woodstock residents are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Woodstock Police Service Street Crime Unit.

Police say the investigation began earlier in 2026 after officers received information about illegal drug activity in the city. On March 4, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers arrested a 51-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man in the area of Dundas Street and Reeve Street in Woodstock.

As a result of the investigation, both individuals have been jointly charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking related to fentanyl and cocaine, as well as possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

During the arrest, officers seized suspected drugs and cash believed to be connected to the investigation. Police estimate the street value of the cocaine at $1,380 and fentanyl at $1,232. Officers also seized $1,690 in cash.

Both accused were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
