Woodstock’s 2026 Official Election Candidate List

Four school-board candidates acclaimed; mayoral and council races will go to the ballot

Woodstock's list of candidates for the 2026 municipal and school board elections is now official, following the completion of the nomination review by the City's Clerk.
The City has also confirmed that five school-board candidates have been acclaimed, meaning no vote will be required for those positions and their names will not appear on the ballot.

Mayor

Four candidates are running for Mayor:

  • Jerry Acchione
  • Aaron Gorlick
  • Asjad Hussain
  • Anthony Scalisi

Deputy Mayor – County Councillor

Three candidates are running for Deputy Mayor – County Councillor:

  • Jarrod Erb
  • Bernia Martin
  • Deb Tait

City-County Councillor

Two candidates are running for the City-County Councillor position:

  • Kelly Gilson
  • Mark Schadenberg

City Councillor

Nine candidates are seeking a City Councillor position:

  • Dave Bloxsidge
  • Joe Brown
  • Connie Lauder
  • Kate Leatherbarrow
  • Daniel Leduc
  • Wes Mazur
  • Maureen Ralph
  • Sandeep Sidhu
  • Kurt Sutherland

School board trustees acclaimed

The following candidates have been declared elected by acclamation:

Thames Valley District School Board Trustee – English Public

  • Benjamin Lampkin
  • William McKinnon

London District Catholic School Board Trustee – English Separate

  • Mary Holmes

Conseil Scolaire Viamonde Trustee – French Public

  • David Paradis

Conseil scolaire catholique Providence Trustee – French Separate

  • Joseph-Guy Bourbeau

The Providence trustee position was initially subject to an extended nomination period. Following that period, Bourbeau was certified as the sole candidate and was declared elected by acclamation.

Voting information

Woodstock electors can vote online or in person in the 2026 municipal and school board elections.

Online voting opens at 10 a.m. October 10th and remains open until 8 p.m. October 25th.

Advance voting will be available at Goff Hall, 381 Finkle Street, on October 10th and October 13th through 16th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voting Day is Monday, October 26th, with voting locations open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Cowan Sportsplex, 895 Ridgewood Road
  • Unifor Hall, 126 Beale Street
