A two term Tillsonburg councillor, Chris Parker is seeking re-election in October.
Parker tells Oxford Today he was born and raised in Tillsonburg - is married and works in Woodstock in the automotive sector. In his spare time he's president of the Tillsonburg Mens Slow Pitch League and referees minor hockey.
Parker says he has a full plate as a member of local council.
He tells Oxford Today safety within the Transportation Master Plan is one of the things on his radar.
Parker says that's largely a county responsibility but the municipality has to be part of the solution.
As for why he should be re-elected, Parker tells us his fiscal responsibility over eight years in office speaks for itself. He says he treats the taxpayers money like it's his own money.
