A healthcare worker, bilingual and married with children, Felix Nonso-Nzemeka is running for Tillsonburg council. A resident of the town for almost seven years, Felix moved to Oxford County to work at a group home.
With no political experience, he tells us he's not running to change the system - he wants to make it better.
On the campaign trail Nzemeka is using the personal touch to reach out to voters.
One of Nzemeka's platform planks is access to healthcare.
Nzemeka says he's also hearing from residents about public safety and homelessness. On the the shelter front, Nzemeka says his own experience at the social services level tells him
it's a complex issue.
Responsible growth is another priority for Nzemeka if he's elected to council. He notes the approval of a 120 unit housing complex in downtown Tillsonburg.
Nzemeka says a vote for him in October is a vote for a council representative who will work for the people.
