Schools, offices and daycares closed in the LDCSB and TVDSB
Another blast of winter weather is hitting the region and has some local parents scrambling.
On Thursday, both the LDCSB and TVDSB has closed all of its schools, offices and child care centres. Board officials say the move is to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
Once again, emergency officials are asking motorists to prepare for difficult travel, allow extra time, and expect rapidly changing road conditions.
Meantime, Southwestern Public Health has also issued a cold weather alert for Elgin and Oxford counties. Residents are urged to take precautions against frostbite and hypothermia.
