A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash on the 401 in Oxford County
Ontario Provincial Police have charged a man in connection with a fatal fail-to-remain collision on Highway 401 that claimed the life of a tow truck operator earlier this month.
Police say the collision happened December 3rd at about 7:18 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 401, west of Oxford Road 3 in Blandford-Blenheim Township. A 42-year-old man from Kitchener was struck by an unknown vehicle while assisting a motorist and was pronounced dead at the scene.
On December 22, OPP arrested 32-year-old Sandeep Singh of Mount Hope. He is charged with dangerous operation causing death and failure to stop after an accident resulting in death.
Singh was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Woodstock court on January 27th.
