Bridge closed for several hours
A transport truck driver is facing charges after striking a railway bridge in Zorra Township Monday afternoon. Police say the truck attempted to pass beneath the bridge on 17th Line, despite posted height restrictions, causing significant damage to both the cab and trailer. The bridge was closed for several hours while CN and the Ministry of Transportation inspected it for structural damage. It has since reopened. A 38-year-old London resident has been charged with careless driving and disobeying a sign.
