The London Police Service (LPS) and the London Transit Commission (LTC) have launched a new partnership to boost visibility and community engagement across the city.

As part of the initiative, Foot Patrol officers will ride city buses or walk through them during regular shifts in Downtown, Midtown, and Old East Village. The goal is to build positive relationships with riders, promote safety, and prevent crime through friendly engagement.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to being visible, approachable, and connected to the community we serve,” said LPS Chief Thai Truong. “By meeting people where they are, we can build trust and strengthen relationships.”

LTC General Manager Kelly Paleczny added, “The safety of our riders and employees is our top priority. This collaboration supports our ongoing Travel Safe program.”

Residents are encouraged to say hello and engage with officers during their daily travels.
