If you are passionate about agriculture, the Norfolk County Agricultural Society wants to hear from you
The Norfolk County Agricultural Society is calling for nominations to join its volunteer Board of Directors.
The Society is looking for community-minded individuals who are passionate about agriculture, local traditions, and events such as Eat & Drink Norfolk and the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show. Board members help guide the organization and ensure these long-standing events continue to thrive.
Elected board members commit to a three-year term. Responsibilities include attending about 10 board meetings each year, helping set strategic direction, supporting Society events, and working collaboratively with other board members. Directors may also chair or take part in committees that match their skills and interests.
Nominations are open to people from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for agriculture and community development. To nominate yourself or someone else, submissions must include a completed nomination form, a short bio or résumé, and a brief statement of interest.
Nominees will be asked to attend the Annual General Meeting and speak to voting members.
The deadline for nominations is January 28, 2026. Submissions can be made in person at 172 South Drive, Building 5 in Simcoe, or by email to gm@norfolkcountyfair.com.
