Ingersoll’s 2026 Municipal Election field Is set

Ingersoll voters will have several choices to make when they head to the polls for the 2026 municipal election on October 26.

Mayor Brian Petrie is seeking re-election, with Tim Lobzun also running for the position. Petrie was first elected mayor in 2022 after previously serving on Ingersoll Town Council.

The deputy mayor’s race features incumbent Lindsay Wilson, who is being challenged by Mike Tucker.

There are five council seats available, with four current councillors seeking another term. Incumbents Mike Bowman, Rick Eus, Kristy Van Kooten-Bossence and Shannon Hutson are all running again. They are joined in the council race by Sherry Ashby, Matthew Chambers, Dave Cripps, Matt Daltrey, Louie D’Orazio, and Fred Freeman.

For the Thames Valley District School Board, Benjamin Lampkin and William McKinnon have been acclaimed to the two available trustee positions representing English public school electors in Oxford County.

Mary Holmes has been acclaimed as the London District Catholic School Board trustee for Oxford County. Joseph-Guy Bourbeau has been acclaimed for Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence, while David Paradis has been acclaimed for Conseil Scolaire Viamonde.

The municipal election takes place October 26, 2026.
