Kim Sage Asks Tillsonburg Voters Not to Support Council Candidacy

Tillsonburg Town Council candidate Kim Sage has announced that they will not take a seat on council if elected, asking voters to support other candidates in the upcoming municipal election.

In a public statement, Sage said the difficult decision came after considerable thought. However, with the election ballot already finalized, Sage's name cannot be removed.

As a result, Sage is respectfully asking residents not to vote for them and instead to choose the candidates they believe will best represent Tillsonburg.

Sage also reminded voters that they are not required to select six candidates on the ballot and can vote for as many or as few as they wish.

Residents are being encouraged to learn about the candidates and make informed choices when casting their ballots.

Sage declined to answer further questions or discuss the decision in greater detail, asking the public to respect that request.

The statement also included well wishes for the other candidates running in the election, along with a message of gratitude to those who supported Sage's campaign, offered encouragement and displayed campaign signs.

Sage described the decision as a difficult one but reaffirmed that the choice not to serve on council stands.

With Sage's name remaining on the ballot, voters will need to take the announcement into account when deciding which candidates to support.
