A 38-year-old London man faces impaired driving charges after St. Thomas Police stopped his vehicle early Monday on Centennial Avenue
A 38-year-old London man is facing impaired driving charges after St. Thomas Police conducted a traffic stop early Monday morning.
Police say officers on patrol came across a vehicle pulled over on Centennial Avenue just before 3 a.m., with its hazard lights flashing. When officers approached to offer assistance, they became concerned the driver was impaired.
The man was taken to police headquarters, where testing showed he was more than three times the legal limit, with readings of 280mg/100ml.
He has been charged with one count of Impaired Operation and one count of Impaired Operation with 80 and was released on an appearance notice.
His licence has been suspended and his vehicle impounded.
