London Police Service confirms it's working with other partners in connection to investigation that resulted in four arrests
Police say an ongoing investigation centred on Chesham Avenue has expanded beyond London, with additional search warrants executed in Ottawa and Gatineau, Que.
The London Police Service confirmed investigators are working alongside the Ottawa Police Service, Gatineau Police Service and the Sûreté du Québec as part of what officials describe as a complex, multi-jurisdictional investigation spanning several cities and provinces.
Originally, four people were charged after a trespassing investigation at Western University led to the seizure of a loaded firearm and the discovery of hazardous chemicals inside a nearby residence.
Police say the investigation remains active and that residents can expect a continued police presence on Chesham Avenue as work continues. Authorities emphasized that public safety remains the top priority and said residents will be notified should any safety risks be identified.
While no timeline has been provided, police say further information will be released as appropriate.
