Investigation underway following stabbing in London
A 53-year-old man is in hospital with critical injuries following a stabbing in east London on Friday evening.
Police say officers responded to an assault in progress just after 6 p.m. on Oct. 10 in a parking lot near Dundas Street and Clarke Road. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds.
He was transported to hospital by paramedics, where he remains in critical condition.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault. The investigation has since been reassigned to the London Police Service’s Major Crime Section.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information or video footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact investigators.
In a statement, the London Police Service said it remains committed to public safety and the swift investigation of violent incidents.
