Marcus Ryan, Warden of Oxford County, has been elected chair of the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus for a one-year term.

Ryan said he is honoured to lead the caucus, emphasizing the region’s role as Ontario’s economic engine and the need for a united voice to advocate for housing, infrastructure, workforce development, and supports for mental health, addictions, and homelessness.

The announcement followed the WOWC Annual General Meeting, where Kevin Marriott of Lambton County was named vice-chair, Ben Addley, CAO of Oxford County, as secretary, and Sonya Pritchard, CAO of Dufferin County, as treasurer.

Additional appointments included Andrea Matrosovs of Grey County as Chair of the Western Ontario Municipal Conference and Mayor Jim Ginn of Central Huron as Chair of the Economic Development Sub-Committee. Ryan said collaboration with municipal leaders, senior levels of government, industry, and community partners will remain central to advancing regional priorities.

The 2026-2027 WOWC Board of Directors includes representatives from counties across Western Ontario, including Norfolk, Simcoe, Wellington, Chatham-Kent, Brant, Perth, Elgin, Essex, Huron, Dufferin, Bruce, and Middlesex counties.
