The award, sponsored by FirstOntario Credit Union, was presented during the Chamber's 50th anniversary Awards of Excellence gala September 24.
The Employer of the Year award is based on employee nominations and recognizes businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to their people through areas such as training, professional development, recognition, wellness and workplace culture.
For Mazza, the award adds another milestone to a business that has been part of the Tillsonburg community for four decades.
The company was founded in 1986 by Nello Mazza as a two-person operation. Today, Mazza Heating and Air Conditioning has 18 employees and a fleet of ten service vehicles, serving residential and commercial customers in Tillsonburg and surrounding communities.
Owner Kevin Toews says receiving the award was exciting and humbling.
Mazza says being locally and family owned remains central to the way it operates, with a focus on supporting employees and customers with integrity, honesty and respect.
The company says it has continued to build long-term relationships through trust and transparency while maintaining the standards of workmanship and customer care established by its founder.
