October is Circular Economy Month in Canada — a time to celebrate innovation, sustainability, and smarter resource use. A circular economy focuses on minimizing waste and maximizing the reuse, repair and recycling of materials to keep resources in use for as long as possible.
This year’s theme, “A Stronger Community for All,” highlights the social and economic benefits of circular systems — from building stronger communities and resilient supply chains to making life more affordable for Canadians.
A circular economy also supports environmental health, community well-being and biodiversity — all key goals outlined in Oxford County’s 2023–2026 Strategic Plan.
