One dead, one injured after Sunday shooting on Dundas Street in London

Investigation underway after a shooting early Sunday morning in London

London police are asking for the public’s help after a fatal shooting in the city’s east end early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the 700-block of Dundas Street shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday, after a 911 caller reported hearing multiple gunshots. Police located two adult men at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The second man remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation has been taken over by the London Police Service Major Crime Section. No arrests have been made.

Investigators are seeking dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage recorded between 3:30 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. near Dundas Street and Hewitt Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-661-5670.
