A 16-year-old was clocked at 138 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone
Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged four drivers in separate stunt driving incidents after officers stopped vehicles travelling at extreme speeds across the county.
The first incident happened on November 15, 2025, around 2:00 a.m. on Highway 401 in Blandford-Blenheim. Police say a 25-year-old G2 driver from Brampton was caught driving 160 km/h in a 100 km/h zone and was charged with stunt driving for excessive speed.
Just 45 minutes later, officers stopped another vehicle in the same area travelling 180 km/h. A 39-year-old driver from Waterloo was charged with stunt driving, failing to stop on the right for an emergency vehicle, and failing to surrender an insurance card.
On November 16 around midnight, officers stopped a vehicle on Sweaburg Road in Southwest Oxford after it was clocked at 138 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. A 16-year-old G2 driver from Woodstock was charged with stunt driving.
Later that afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., police stopped an 18-year-old G driver from Ingersoll travelling 111 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Road 60 in Zorra Township.
All four drivers received an immediate 14-day licence suspension and a 30-day vehicle impoundment.
