Police investigate two structure fires near Thames River in Ingersoll

According to the Ontario Provincial Police, emergency crews were called to the scene on the evening of February 28.

Police are investigating two structure fires that broke out in Ingersoll over the weekend.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), emergency crews were called to the scene on February 28, at approximately 8:45 p.m. Officers from the Oxford detachment responded along with the Ingersoll Fire Department and Oxford County Paramedic Services.

The fires occurred near the Thames River between Carnegie Street and Wilson Street in the Town of Ingersoll.

When first responders arrived, they found two temporary structures fully involved in fire. Police confirmed the structures were unoccupied at the time. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fires has not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine what happened.
