A celebration of sport and inclusion is coming to East Elgin Secondary School this weekend.
The St. Thomas Swish are hosting a Special Olympics Basketball Tournament on Saturday January 31st, welcoming 11 teams from across the province and more than 200 participants, including athletes, coaches, and volunteers.
The day will feature a full slate of games showcasing athletes from across the region, with organizers encouraging the public to come out and cheer on the teams.
Admission is free, with games scheduled between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., following the Parade of Athletes at 8:30 a.m.
There will also be a bake sale on site, with proceeds supporting local Special Olympics athletes.
