A new transit operator is set to take over Tillsonburg’s in-town bus service starting April 1st
The Town of Tillsonburg has awarded its T:GO In-Town Transit Service contract to OnexBus, with the new service set to begin April 1st.
As part of the transition, riders will see the introduction of a fully accessible, climate-controlled high-deck mini bus designed to improve comfort and mobility. The vehicle includes a two-step entrance and a rear passenger-side wheelchair lift, accommodating 16 seated passengers and two wheelchair users.
The bus will also feature front-mounted bike racks capable of carrying two bicycles.
Town officials say there will be no changes to routes, schedules or fares, and previously purchased tickets will remain valid.
The municipality says it looks forward to working with OnexBus to provide safe, reliable and accessible transit for residents and visitors.
