Tillsonburg mayor sends thoughts to those impacted by mass shooting in B.C.
The Town of Tillsonburg is expressing its condolences following the tragic events in Tumbler Ridge, B.C., offering support to the families, friends and community affected.
In a statement on social media, Mayor Deb Gilvesy, says the town said it is “deeply saddened” by the tragedy and acknowledged the profound impact such events have on small, close-knit communities.
“As a small town, we understand how closely knit a community is — when one hurts, everyone hurts,” the statement reads. “This morning we are hurting as a nation.”
Tillsonburg extended its thoughts and support to Tumbler Ridge, saying the community stands in solidarity during this difficult time.
