The event will take place primarily at Fanshawe College’s London Campus.
The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) will host its annual Skills Competition on Wednesday, welcoming approximately 135 secondary student competitors and 60 elementary student observers. The event will take place primarily at Fanshawe College’s London Campus, with additional contest locations at the college’s Woodstock campus and downtown London site.
Designed as a showcase of skilled trades and technologies, the competition follows a track-and-field format, with each event highlighting a different trade. Students from across the district will demonstrate their abilities in 15 hands-on contests, including welding, photography, precision machining, hairstyling, baking, carpentry, and more.
Top performers in most categories will move on to regional or provincial competitions, representing TVDSB against leading students from across Ontario, based on Skills Ontario seat allocations.
