Tourism creativity took centre stage at the Oxford Tourism Awards of Excellence held Oct. 7th
Oxford County’s top tourism innovators and collaborators were celebrated recently at the Innerkip Highlands Golf Club during the fourth annual Oxford Tourism Awards of Excellence.
Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life was a standout, earning the Tourism Partnership Award for its viral “cow wedding” between miniature Highland cows Muriel and Rhett — a creative collaboration that made international headlines and showcased Oxford’s tourism charm. The same event also earned the Special Event of the Year for its blend of sustainability and whimsy.
The Ingersoll Cheese and Agricultural Museum shared Special Event of the Year honours for its Mystic Market, a sold-out, paranormal-themed gathering highlighting local artists and vendors.
Transitions Equine Assisted Learning received the Best New Tourism Product Award for its “Cowgirl Kickback” experience, offering guests mindfulness and connection through guided horse interactions.
The awards recognize excellence in innovation, inclusiveness, sustainability, and partnership across Oxford’s tourism sector. Winners were selected by an external panel of judges representing provincial tourism organizations.
