A Norfolk County man is facing several weapons charges after a disturbance in Simcoe.
The Ontario Provincial Police say officers responded to a 9-1-1 call around 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday (February 10). Police were told an individual armed with an edged weapon was causing a disturbance on Colborne Street North.
Officers located the person and took them into custody without incident. Two prohibited weapons were seized.
Edward Wills, 39, has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition.
He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on February 17.
