United Way Oxford has announced the recipients of its 2025 Wes Magill Award, presented at the Campaign Kickoff event on September 17.

The award, first launched in 1980, was created to recognize the contributions of Wes Magill and to honour individuals, labour groups, or businesses that go the extra mile in support of United Way Oxford. Each year, the United Way Oxford Board selects a nominee and forwards it to the Magill family for approval.

This year’s honourees are a group of Tim Hortons business owners known as the “Smile Cookie Friends.” The group includes Leslie Farrell of Woodstock’s Norwich Avenue location; Paul and Erin Tyndall of Ingersoll; Robin Seabrook and Donovan Minshall of Woodstock’s Dundas Street and Devonshire Avenue stores; and Karen and Mark Lefebvre of Woodstock and Innerkip.

Since 2019, their Smile Cookie campaigns have raised $354,460 for United Way Oxford. Every dollar from Smile Cookie sales is donated directly to charity, with United Way Oxford helping organize volunteers and community support.
