The event serves as a major fundraiser
The 23rd annual Hike for Hospice is coming to Woodstock.
Fund Development officer at VON Sakura House and VON Oxford Chelsea Stephens tells us it's an important fundraising event for Oxford's only residential hospice.
Stephens say there are a variety of events to participate in at Roth Park on September 20th.
Stephens says Hike for Hospice raises money to pay for heat, hydro, building maintenance and food - things the government doesn't fund.
Stephens says Sakura House is forturnate to have a committed business and corporate community to support the facility.
Last year, more than 400 individuals and 47 teams registered for Hike for Hospice, raising over $154,000 for VON Sakura House.
