What's Good in Tillsonburg? Kettle Campaign launches this weekend with $180K goal

Major Denise Walker says the campaign is vital to supporting families.

The Tillsonburg Salvation Army is kicking off its 2025 Kettle Campaign this Saturday, marking the start of its annual fundraiser. Major Denise Walker says the campaign is vital to supporting families and an opportunity for the community to help others during the holidays and throughout the year.

The campaign runs until Christmas Eve, with most donations coming through the familiar red kettles placed at high-traffic locations, including Sobeys, Metro, Canadian Tire, Walmart, and the LCBO. Major Walker also shared their goal for this year’s season.

Residents can donate using cash or cheques. While tip-tap machines will not be available this year, each kettle will feature a QR code for quick and secure online contributions.

Major Walker adds that volunteers are also needed.

Anyone interested in helping can contact the Tillsonburg Salvation Army.

Major Walker says the campaign is a glowing example of the community coming together and supporting those in need.
