A cherished community tradition that draws hundreds of families each year.
The Tillsonburg Kinettes are gearing up for their long-standing Breakfast with Santa, a cherished community tradition that draws hundreds of families each year. President Carrie Lewis says the event has grown significantly, serving more than 600 people in recent years, and the group hopes to welcome even more attendees this December.
This year’s breakfast takes place Saturday, December 6, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Tillsonburg Community Centre, with tickets available only at the door.
Santa will be available for photos, and children are welcome to bring letters or wish lists to give to the jolly man himself.
Live music from Archie and Sean Wright will fill the venue throughout the morning. Lewis says there is also a colouring contest.
’Tis the season of giving, and guests who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive a ballot for a special prize draw. Lewis says the event is held in honour of longtime Kinette Nancy McDonald, who had a deep love for Christmas.
Nancy worked for Wellmaster, one of the event’s major sponsors. Funds raised through events like this help the Kinettes give back, with all profits returning directly to the local community.
