The Town of Tillsonburg and ERTH Power are inviting residents to weigh in on a proposed merger that could reshape the region’s energy infrastructure.
Two public open houses are scheduled — September 29 at the Tillsonburg Community Centre and October 6 at the Tillsonburg Town Centre, both from 3 to 6 p.m. — giving locals a chance to ask questions, share feedback, and learn more about the plan.

We spoke with Mayor Deb Gilvesy who says capacity should be top of mind for residents when looking at this project.
Gilvesy says lots of upgrades are needed to meet this industrial need.

The mayor says if the deal goes through, she doesn't anticipate you will notice much.
If, however, this plan falls through - that could be a different story.
After gathering community feedback, council will review the input before making a decision.
Any merger would still require approval from the Ontario Energy Board, and Gilvesy says the process could take several months if it moves forward.
