Museum London is gearing up for a major community celebration as it prepares to host its Winter Launch Party, showcasing eight new exhibitions and installations now open throughout the building. Abby Vincent, Head of Marketing and Development, says they're very excited to celebrate the museum’s latest projects.
The Winter Launch Party takes place this Thursday (Nov. 27) from 7 to 10 p.m. and offers what Vincent calls “a buffet for visitors of all ages.”
The evening also includes a meet-and-greet with London artist Billy Burt Young, whose solo exhibition Cloudburst is currently featured in the interior gallery. Live entertainment will fill the space as DJ El Colocho performs from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by a high-energy performance from the 519 School of Hip-Hop from 9 to 9:45 p.m.
All three levels of the museum will be activated with programming, and the shop will stay open with treats and drinks available. Vincent says supporting local artists, curators, and historians is central to Museum London’s mandate.
Vincent added that for those who have never visited Museum London, this is the perfect opportunity to come and see what the museum is all about.
Admission to the Winter Launch Party is free or by donation, but guests are encouraged to RSVP. More than 575 people have already signed up, and the number continues to grow.
