Opportunities to donate across Oxford County are coming up this week and next.
Canadian Blood Services is putting out an urgent call for O negative blood donors this summer.
We spoke with Debbi Barfoot, Community Development Manager, who explain why O-negative is most needed.
The national supply is stable for now, but they carefully track blood inventory levels across Canada. When certain blood types fall below target, donors are asked to step up.
Only seven per cent of Canadians have O negative blood, making each donation vital.

And opportunities to donate across Oxford County are coming up. This includes on Friday, August 22nd at Unifor Local 88 in Ingersoll and Friday, August 29th at the Tillsonburg Community Centre. Appointments can be made through the GiveBlood app or at blood.ca.
