Christmas Care and ESCF team up with Chick-fil-A for Community Giving Night

The Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation is encouraging residents to take part in a special Community Giving Night, at the Chick-fil-A on Wharncliffe and Wonderland in London.

Tracy Robinson, Executive Director of the ESCF explains that this all came together when Chick-fil-A owner Joshua Huesser reached out, wanting to give back.

From 5 to 8 p.m., five per cent of all sales will be shared between Christmas Care and the Foundation’s GreatEST Needs Fund, which supports a wide range of programs across the region. It's simple notes Robinson stop in, enjoy a meal, and your purchase directly supports families and organizations that rely on community generosity during the holiday season.

At Christmas Care St. Thomas, they've been providing holiday hampers to about 1,500 families each year since 1980, while the Foundation’s GreatEST Needs Fund helps address the most urgent local priorities.

Robinson says Monday’s event is also a chance to build community and give back in a meaningful way at a time when many families need extra support.
