Cram-A-Cruiser event brings in 1,000 pounds of food for Ingersoll families

It was an awesome turnout at the latest Cram-A-Crusier food drive in Ingersoll

The Oxford OPP Auxiliary Unit helped make a major impact in Ingersoll this past weekend during a successful Cram-A-Cruiser food drive.

On Saturday, auxiliary members joined the community outside a local grocery store to collect donations for the Ingersoll Salvation Army. All items gathered during the event will stay in the community, supporting local families who rely on the food bank.

By the end of the day, residents had donated roughly 1,000 pounds of food and nearly 300 bags of essential items. Auxiliary volunteers were on site from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., greeting donors and loading contributions into the cruiser.

Lovish Sharma, Community Ministries Coordinator for the Salvation Army Ingersoll, said the support means a great deal.

He said the event collected almost 300 bags of food and an additional $160, adding, “With our food bank supporting more than 250 families in Ingersoll, this truly makes a difference.”
