Three Ingersoll residents are facing multiple drug and weapons charges after an early morning police raid in the Town of Ingersoll.
On February 25, 2026, at about 6 a.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, along with the West Region Emergency Response Team, West Region Canine Unit, and Community Street Crime Units from Brant, Middlesex and Elgin, executed a search warrant in a wooded area off Thames Street North.
Police say there was an increased presence in the area, but the warrant was carried out without incident.
As a result of the investigation, 49-year-old Michael Lounsbury, 47-year-old Mary Roy and 38-year-old Kyle Wellar, all of Ingersoll, were arrested and jointly charged with several offences. Charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin and clonazepam, along with two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Lounsbury also faces an additional charge of possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to a prohibition order.
All three remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Detachment Commander Inspector Tony Hymers said the Oxford OPP remains committed to keeping Oxford County safe and praised the teamwork involved in the investigation.
