Bringing a much-needed boost of optimism for local workers.
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman and Ontario’s Progressive Conservative government have announced welcome news for the region’s economy — a combined $10,432,574 investment by three local manufacturers that will create 32 new, good-paying jobs across Oxford County. The announcement follows recent layoffs at the CAMI General Motors plant in Ingersoll, bringing a much-needed boost of optimism for local workers.
The investments by Split-Fire Sales, Wellmaster Pipe and Supply Inc., and Future Transfer will expand production, modernize equipment, and enhance innovation. Split-Fire Sales is investing $4.1 million to relocate to a larger facility near Norwich, nearly tripling its manufacturing space. Wellmaster is investing $1.3 million to develop a custom CNC lathe — the first of its kind in Canada. Future Transfer will invest $4.9 million in a new production line for a water-based herbicide.
“Our government is protecting Ontario’s workers and creating a strong, stable, and resilient economy,” said Hardeman. “These investments will support growth, innovation, and jobs right here in Oxford.”
