Fanshawe Pioneer Village will host a powerful reenactment of the 1914 Christmas Truce this November, blending history and holiday spirit in a unique outdoor experience.
History and holiday spirit will come together in a powerful way this November as Fanshawe Pioneer Village presents the return of its acclaimed WWI reenactment event, “The Christmas Truce of 1914.”
In partnership with History Matters Association, this immersive evening experience recreates the unofficial truce that took place along the Western Front in 1914-when soldiers briefly laid down arms to share in the spirit of Christmas. Visitors will be guided through four live reenactment scenes across the heritage village, including life in a replica trench.
The two-hour walking tours take place November 28 and 29, with start times between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly for this outdoor nighttime event, where hot cocoa and WWI artifacts will set the scene.
Tickets are $22 per person (plus tax and fees) and available now at here.
