London police are investigating a series of high-end vehicle thefts after five Toyota and Lexus SUVs were stolen from residential neighbourhoods
London police are asking for the public’s assistance after a string of high-end vehicle thefts earlier this month.
The London Police Service says three Toyota Highlanders and two Lexus vehicles were reported stolen between Nov. 2nd and 9th from residential streets across the city. The thefts occurred on Farmington Way, Birchmount Street, Averill Crescent, Josselyn Drive and Gordon Avenue.
Police say surveillance footage (see below) from three incidents shows two suspect vehicles — a black four-door sedan, believed to be a Mercedes, and a light-coloured four-door car — which investigators believe may be connected.
The cases have been reassigned to the force’s Street Crime Unit and remain under investigation.
Police are urging residents with information or video footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the affected areas and times to contact them. They say prompt reporting of suspicious activity strengthens investigations and helps bring offenders to justice.
