Police are searching for 42-year-old Thanh Dat Mai following a violent assault and forcible confinement in a west London home
London Police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a violent assault that left a woman injured earlier this week.
Investigators say the incident happened around 5 a.m. Tuesday, when a man entered a woman’s home near Fiddlers Green Road and Oxford Street West without her knowledge. The woman and her young child were asleep at the time.
Police say the man assaulted her, tied her up, threatened her with a knife, and prevented her from leaving. She later escaped through an upstairs window and called 911 from a nearby home.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries requiring medical attention. The child was found unharmed.
Police have issued a warrant for Thanh Dat Mai, 42, of London, who faces eight charges including assault, forcible confinement, and uttering threats.
Mai is described as West Asian, 5’5”, 176 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police warn the public not to approach him and to call 9-1-1 if seen.
The investigation remains ongoing.
