London Police to host 2026 Chief’s Gala in support of Bethanys Hope Foundation and Victim Services

Two London charities will benefit from the big upcoming gala

The London Police Service will spotlight community support and charitable giving when it hosts the 2026 Chief’s Gala early next year.

The event is set for February 12th at RBC Place London and will bring together police members, community leaders and residents for an evening recognizing service within the force and raising money for two local organizations: Bethanys Hope Foundation and Victim Services of Middlesex-London.

Bethanys Hope Foundation was selected through a vote by LPS members, while Victim Services was chosen by Chief Thai Truong — a dual selection the service says reflects its commitment to supporting causes important to both officers and leadership.

Bethanys Hope funds research and supports families affected by Metachromatic Leukodystrophy, while Victim Services provides immediate assistance to people impacted by crime or traumatic events.

Chief Truong said the gala underscores the force’s focus on compassion and partnership. “This event reflects our commitment to strengthening community partnerships and supporting organizations that make a real difference in people’s lives,” he said.

Lindey McIntyre, executive director of Bethanys Hope Foundation, called the selection an honour and a meaningful boost for research efforts. Victim Services executive director Brad Thompson said the choice demonstrates how much police value the work of his staff and volunteers.

Last year’s inaugural Chief’s Gala raised more than $222,000 for Youth Opportunities Unlimited and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
