Male arrested and charged in connection to Aylmer infant assault
The Aylmer Police Service says charges have been laid following an investigation into the alleged assault of an infant.
Police say the investigation determined the child was assaulted on more than one occasion by a person known to them. A male has been arrested as a result and charged with assault causing bodily harm, suffocation, and assault.
The accused was released from custody with the consent of the Crown Attorney.
Because the case is under a publication ban, police say no further details can be released at this time.
