Council's sights are set on the formal adoption of the budget taking place before Christmas.
With the end of summer comes a full slate of business at City Hall in Woodstock.
101.3 GIANT FM / New Country 107.3 did a debrief with Mayor Jerry Acchione which included talking about some of the items expected to be on the table during the 2026 budget sessions.
Acchione says they'll also be looking at job evaluation to address what department needs are staffing wise, to do the job expected.
While some municipalities choose to enter budget deliberations with a pre-determined ratepayer cap, Acchione says that's not the case in Woodstock.
We asked Acchione as the person at the helm in Woodstock, what he sees as key budget items.
The official process begins in late November with a capital budget overview. Council's sights are set on the formal adoption of the budget taking place before Christmas. Work on the Revenue budget will begin in late February.
