New radio stations filling the airwaves of Oxford County
MY BROADCASTING CORPORATION has expanded its presence in Ontario with the acquisition of three radio stations from Rogers Sports & Media, officially relaunching them under new community-focused formats.
The deal includes 101.3 CKOT-FM and 107.3 CJDL-FM in Tillsonburg, along with 92.3 CJET-FM in Smiths Falls. The stations have been rebranded as follows:
101.3 GIANT FM – Classic Rock for Southwestern Ontario
New Country 107.3 – Country hits and a local connection for Tillsonburg
92.3 WOW-FM – Classic pop and local news for Smiths Falls
“These stations each have deep roots in their communities, and we’re proud to give them a new voice with formats that reflect the tastes and values of local listeners,” said MBC President Jon Pole. “At MBC, we believe in giving more than we take — and we’re committed to investing in local radio, local news, and local people.”
To support that vision, MBC will build new studios in both Tillsonburg and Smiths Falls in the coming months. The upgraded facilities will enhance local journalism and community programming, aligning with MBC’s mission to strengthen hometown radio.
The stations will also be backed by digital news platforms, including the launch of OXFORDtoday.ca.
“These new additions perfectly complement our existing stations and platforms across the province,” said Pole. “Our mission is simple: support the communities we serve, deliver great content, and help local businesses grow. We’re just getting started.”
