Two major affordable housing projects in Woodstock are moving forward, creating 60 new affordable housing units in Oxford County.
Oxford County shared an update on projects led by the Woodstock Non-Profit Housing Corporation and the Afro-Caribbean Business Network. Both developments support the County’s Housing for All – Housing and Homelessness Plan, which focuses on increasing affordable rental options and strengthening housing stability.
The Southwood Way project at 785 Southwood Way is now complete, with residents beginning to move into the 52-unit building. It includes 37 affordable one- and two-bedroom units designed for seniors, single women, and women with children. Oxford County contributed $1.4 million, shovel-ready land, and development charge exemptions.
Construction on the 45-unit Springbank Avenue North project begins in March 2026. It will include 23 affordable units and received $1.2 million from the County, along with land and fee exemptions.
Federal and provincial funding is also supporting both projects. Oxford County’s housing investment has grown from $5.7 million in 2022 to $13 million in 2026.
