The project will add 230 student spaces and 88 child-care spots for local families.
The Ontario government has approved funding for a major addition at St. Michael’s Catholic School in Woodstock.
The $18.2 million project, which includes an extra $7.1 million in new funding, will create 230 new student spaces and 88 licensed child-care spaces for local families.
MPP Ernie Hardeman called the project “great news for our community,” while Education Minister Paul Calandra said the expansion will help prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow.
The investment is part of Ontario’s $23 billion commitment over 10 years to build, renew, and improve schools across the province.
