OPP investigating animal cruelty case in Blandford-Blenheim

Police responded to a report of a deceased dog found along Township Road 8.

The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a disturbing case of animal cruelty after several young dogs were found abandoned, including one that was discovered deceased.

On November 2, around 11:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a deceased dog found along Township Road 8 in Blandford-Blenheim. Officers arrived to locate the dog in a nearby ditch.

The OPP has reported the incident to the Provincial Animal Welfare Service (PAWS), which has taken over the investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the dogs or those responsible to come forward.
