Oxford Community Foundation Executive Director Louise Wardrop to retire after nearly a decade of growth

Major changes are coming to leadership at the Oxford Community Foundation

The Oxford Community Foundation has announced that Executive Director Louise Wardrop will retire in June 2026.

Wardrop joined the Foundation in November 2016 and has led a period of steady growth and community impact. During her time in the role, total funds increased by $3.5 million. Grants from local legacy and community funds grew from $26,000 in 2016 to more than $240,000 in 2025. She also helped secure more than $740,000 in external grant programs for Oxford County.

Altogether, the Foundation has reinvested more than $2.2 million back into the community under her leadership, supporting local organizations and initiatives across the county.

Board Chair Kim Parker praised Wardrop’s leadership, saying her “integrity, compassion, and commitment to Oxford County have set the tone for the Foundation’s next chapter.”

Wardrop said it has been “an incredible privilege” to serve the community and confirmed she will continue supporting the Foundation as a volunteer during the leadership transition.
